What a chilled out, amazing place! The area is mind blowingly beautiful and energising in a 'weskus kind' of way and the strawbale is completely different from your regular self catering joint which makes it extra special. This "secret spot" is just way too good not to tell all your closest friends and family about it!
In the 20 years that I have been surfing Elands Bay never before have I had stayed in such comfort. Situated in the heart of Elands Bay, Strawrevolution is close to all amenities and just a short walk to the surf. This unique home is well suited to the local climate and is child friendly too. I can't wait until my next visit!
Rustic chic is the way to describe this beautiful West Coast hideaway.It offers all of the peace and tranquillity you'd look for when trying to escape the city yet at the same time caters for absolute comfort and hosts everything you need to relax, unwind and enjoy yourself.
It hosts heaps of character with it's charming outside spiral shower, its sliding wall door leading out to the little courtyard and braai area. That's if you can tear yourself away from the cushion filled 'day bed' couches of course.
I'd definitely keep this my little secret, if I wasn't so eager to return to share it with my friends!
What an amazingly relaxed weekend! Straw Revolution is perfectly positioned for the ultimate break from life's daily 'buzz'. A 2-minute walk from the longest (and most deserted!) beach I have ever seen - and it's great for swimming and obviously nice long strolls!
The house has everything you need, a great courtyard for evening braais and chats around the fire. The 'outside' shower is awesome and you feel as though you are really in touch with nature.

Thanks so much for such an a.m.a.z.i.n.g weekend away! The house is so relaxing, loved the outdoor bathroom, and the huge sliding wall, that allows you to just open up the whole space. A quick stroll to such a beautiful beach. Such good energy's there!
We loved the house and the courtyard, it has a wonderful inside out feel. The West Coast light and sunsets are beautiful and the beach goes on for ever. Great breakfast at the surfing cafe and great snoek and chips at Josies in Lamberts bay (take the toll road alongside the train track).
I won't repeat all the good stuff which has been said already - because its true! Strawrevolution is an absolute bliss for stressed out city freaks! Definitely coming back for more:) Soon!
